Phew!

17Aug08

Got there! it was looking a bit dicey towards the end as I only had about 1 gram of yarn left!

Pattern:  Pomatomus by Cookie.

Yarn:  Alpaca merino sock yarn from Purrrfect Yarns.

Needles: 2.5mm.

Modifications:  Only did 2 pattern repeats on the leg.  Grafted toe at 20 sts rather than 12.

This is a real sock triumph for me.  I was defeated in my first attempt at it last year.  There’s something about Pomatomus that makes you feel quite accomplished don’t you think?  I’m not sure that I would have stuck with them if they hadn’t been my Ravelympics project but I’m so glad that I did!

Anyway, now that they’re done I can get back to a more relaxed pace of knitting.  We’re off to the Lakes again this afternoon for a week so things should slow considerably.  I may or may not be posting whilst there so have a good week folks!
